Director, Business Development

This position is responsible for obtaining profitable new engagements within designated accounts using effective sales and marketing techniques.  This involves engaging company resources, as appropriate for the customer, to be responsive to customer needs.  Additionally, lead client engagements for strategy development and oversight. In this role you will be responsible for the following areas: 

Client Management 

  • Develop and cultivate multi-level client relationships and communication channels
  • Ensure client satisfaction with project deliverables through risk mitigation and project oversight
  • Proactively identify client needs and propose solutions
  • Engage others in strengthening client relationships
  • Oversee retention opportunities including profit maximization


  • Identify client needs and propose solutions including pricing, proposal and contract documentation
  • Deliver sales presentations and drive opportunities to closure
  • Document opportunities in CRM
  • Drive additional revenue through upsells and cross sales

Advito Representation

  • Represent Advito at industry events 
  • Participate on panels, presentations, keynotes committees and boards that further Advito's presence
  • Provide documented industry thought leadership

Experience and Background

  • BS/BA degree required
  • 8+ years sales experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in travel, change management, facilities, or technology
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong network of travel, technology, or facilities industry contacts
  • Ability to lead  client engagements and prepare strategy documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentations
  • Ability to travel extensively
