As a Staff Auditor, you will play a key role in testing the effectiveness of the internal accounting controls and financial statement accuracy of our 45+ business operating units.   The key to your success will be the ability to develop trusted relationships with our field business leaders.   Our internal audit environment is similar to working in public accounting because you have the opportunity to audit diverse companies with unique products – but they’re all owned by AMETEK!


  • Perform operational, compliance, internal control, and financial audits at both the corporate headquarters and company operating business units
  • Planned travel (domestic/international) estimated at 40%
  • Prepare flow charts and narratives to assist in the preparation of risk-based audit program analysis
  • Prepare reports on the results of audits and applicable recommendations for finding, to be reviewed by senior management and the Audit Committee
  • Salary plus excellent benefit package including tuition reimbursement program

Experience & Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred but not required
  • Minimum 3 years of auditing experience either in public accounting or corporate environment  
  • Working knowledge of accounting principals and practices 
  • Knowledge of operational accounting and SOX compliance a plus
