Sales Engineering Lead | San Francisco, CA 

We are looking for a Sales Engineering Lead to join our team and build out the function at Asana. You will play a critical role in partnering with our growing global Sales team to help companies understand the technical aspects of our product and work closely with Customer Success, Product Management, and Marketing. In this role you will be responsible for the following: 

  • Maintain a strong connection to the Product and Infrastructure Engineering teams
  • Understand every technical detail of our product and how to help customers become successful with Asana, including how to leverage our API and 3rd-party integrations
  • Partner with our Sales team to deliver compelling demonstrations for larger customer deployment opportunities and ensure seamless transition to post-sales Customer Success teams
  • Manage and coordinate RFP and other technical structured processes both internally and externally
  • Be creative: help sales representatives and customers find solutions and workarounds to problems, both large and small
  • Act as a key voice to our Product and Engineering teams on behalf of sales regarding the prioritization of our product roadmap
  • Manage, recruit, and mentor talent on the Sales Engineering team

Experience and Background 

  • 5+ years of enterprise software experience in a technical pre-sales role (people management experience highly preferred)
  • Strong presentation skills, with a proven ability to communicate technical aspects to IT and business executives alike
  • Natural curiosity to learn about the latest and greatest SaaS trends in the collaboration space
  • A BA/BS technical degree in computer science, information systems engineering, or another equivalent technical discipline
