Site Manager | Ringwood, NJ

Under the guidance of the Program Director and the Assistant Director, the Site Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the residential home and ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals we support.

The Site Manager is a salaried, exempt professional position; hours for the position are flexible with the approval of the Assistant Director/Program Director, and will include evening, overnight and weekend hours, as well as some time during the typical business-week schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Overall management of program, including on-call responsibilities for after-hours incidents
  • Advocate – protect and uphold individual rights and promote individual choice
  • Provide oversight of all program documentation, including but not limited to: incident reports, behavior data tracking, IHP data tracking, and maintenance requests
  • Work with families to coordinate visits, individual supports
  • Collaborate with Master’s and doctoral level Behavior Analysts regarding programming and treatment plan implementation
  • Supervise and train Direct Support Professionals, including disciplinary actions, evaluations, reinforcement and recognition; ensure that all staff working on site are properly trained on individual plans
  • Maintain data collection systems, education progress notes, and other pertinent data as indicated
  • Serve as a member of the administrative team
  • Make recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, terminations, and similar actions; resolve employee problems within position responsibilities and consults with manager and Human Resources as needed
  • Ensure program is in compliance with applicable licensing regulations
  • Set goals and deadlines for assigned site and prepare reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all data, adhering to all HIPAA laws and requirements

Background and Experience

  • 3+ years of prior APD/DDD/DBHDS/DDDS/IBSER/Delacare supervisory experience
  • Experience working in a residential group home with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Clear understanding of ABA principles and practices
  • Competency in MS Office applications
  • Valid Driver’s License with satisfactory record, and ability to travel independently
  • Ability to work independently as well as with direction, handle multiple priorities, demonstrate good judgment, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions without appreciable direction or advance preparation
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to gain trust and maintain confidentiality
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and interpersonal skills to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Availability for after-hours calls and communication with site and staff
