We are seeking an Email Marketing Manager to join our office in Carlsbad, CA.

EMAIL MARKETING MANAGER | CARLSBAD, CA

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years experience with email marketing including hands-on familiarity with email segmentation and distribution tools (such as Bronto or Exact Target)

• Understanding of basic principles of email communication and how to effectively build and deploy segmented email communications around cadences that will elevate our targeting, segmentation, and personalization practices

• Experience in building email content and loading content in the distribution tool

• Willingness to engage in constructive, productive dialogue about the business with all levels of co-workers

• Familiarity with mobile gaming (bar/restaurant experience a plus) and related digital marketing techniques and metrics

• Comfort in developing strong, rational points of view and championing them

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strengthen our owned database of 9 million+ registered players through validation, preference management, and re-engagement programs
  • Develop and continually test email marketing campaigns that support Brand Marketing initiatives around promotional programs and ongoing game brands
  • Work closely with head of Social Media to integrate email campaign with social posts and calls to action
  • Drive continual improvement in core KPIs, including registered users, open rate, unsubscribe rate, click rates, website and mobile engagements tied to above metrics, and other metrics deemed important to you
  • Integrate our campaigns with those of our promotional partners to leverage the combined audience reach
  • Work with head of User Experience to build and optimize player registration flow and opt-in/out mechanisms
  • Ensure compliance with latest legal directives on privacy and communication guidelines
  • Work with Inbound Marketing Manager to approve exploitation of external email lead lists
  • Partner with Account Management to build a customer retention email strategy that promotes our ongoing player programs and promotional events
