Paid Media Specialist | Carlsbad, CA

The Paid Media Specialist is responsible for day-to-day tactical execution & management of paid media, as well as assisting the strategy for paid media initiatives for Buzztime. This position will require knowledge of search, social, and display channels. The Paid Media Specialist works as part of the Marketing team to help support lead generation for the Sales team. This position reports to the Demand Generation Manager in Carlsbad, California.


  • Plan and execute effective marketing campaigns for generating and capturing sales leads with the goal of increasing product awareness and increasing sales and profits
  • Design and optimize paid media campaigns, which will include working on platforms such as Google, Bing, Facebook, Twitter, & LinkedIn
  • Work across marketing, creative, and technology teams to build and manage marketing campaigns
  • Develop processes, tools, programs, databases, and scripts to improve performance
  • Track key metrics such as conversion rates and run A/B tests to optimize performance

Experience and Background 

  • 2+ years’ experience in paid media lead generation with a B2B background
  • Working knowledge of: Excel, Google AdWords, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Ads
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to clearly report account metrics to show areas of success and failure
  • Willingness to engage in constructive, productive dialogue about the business with all levels of co-workers
  • Familiarity with SaaS and/or Payment related products in any industry
  • Skilled creative briefing and evaluation against strategy
  • Comfort in developing strong, rational points of view and championing them
  • Google AdWords and/or Microsoft Bing Certifications
