Happie is looking for a passionate storyteller and communicator passionate about crafting and sharing compelling narratives. We’re looking for someone able to manage a variety of public relations and communications projects and find new opportunities to showcase Happie’s innovative product and solution. The right candidate will be extremely creative, have excellent communication skills, and have demonstrated skill at building relationships with key members of the press and influencer community.

You’ll be involved in all stages of communications efforts - from strategy and concept to message development to execution and results-oriented evaluation. You should be able to work well independently and as part of a team, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment in which change is a constant.


  • Lead external communications efforts and support internal communications as needed.
  • Determine the plan for key communications assets - our blog, social media presence, etc. - and work with leaders in the company to create compelling content
  • Handle reporter inquiries and secure presence in mainstream and niche media by developing relationships with reporters, pitching, and creating press releases
  • Create a strong external presence through facilitating staff speaking at conferences, hosting events, etc.


  • BA / BS Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in communications and public relations, ideally both agency and in-house.
  • Ability to tell complex, nuanced stories succinctly and with passion
  • Demonstrated experience building PR campaigns that meet company goals and have measurable results.
  • Ability to train others to think from a communications perspective and to represent the company publicly.
  • Existing relationships with journalists, preferably in technology and/or in the HR or recruitment spaces, and an ability to navigate the media landscape effectively.
  • The entrepreneurial drive to create a full-time communications function from scratch.
