The Role

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Project Manager will complete all the daily activities associated with (CIPP) cured in place trenchless pipe rehabilitation to ensure compliance with assigned contract and customer requirements in a safe, cost effective manner to achieve division service requirements. Under the direction of the GM, incumbent will plan, direct, coordinate, or budget, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with assigned contract or project. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules the project in logical steps, and budget time required to meet deadlines.
  • Confers with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.   Includes meetings, conference calls, field visits, pre-con, etc.
  • Negotiates revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.   This includes preparing RFIs and Change Orders.
  • Approves job related invoices.
  • Approves crew’s timesheets weekly.
  • Assists in Preparing and submitting budget estimates and progress- and cost-tracking reports.
  • Interprets and explains plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients representing the owner or developer.
  • Takes actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
  • Studies job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods. 
  • Submits specifications (specs) to clients.
  • Orders equipment and material for jobs.
  • Gathers information on claims and dispute or negotiate settlement.
  • Daily production tracking.
  • Daily scheduling of crews.
  • Develops work by bringing in change orders.

 Experience and Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering
  • Logistics military experience preferred
  • Or at least 4 years’ experience in trenchless pipe rehabilitation.
