DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER | CHICAGO, IL

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Manager, based out of our Chicago, IL location, who’s creative, collaborative, and ready to roll up their sleeves to help drive business growth. This role is will be responsible for advancing and optimizing our digital marketing strategies across multiple platforms, including email, web, social channels, blog and company website, in support of the company’s long-term marketing strategy. Execution will include community management and creation of interesting and relevant content across our digital channels. We’re looking for someone with strong copywriting experience who is equally adept serving as our company’s social media evangelist, engaging our employees on social channels, providing best practices and advising on which new digital platforms we should utilize.

The Digital Marketing Manager will also be responsible for tracking, analyzing and reporting on the effectiveness of all channels, including recommendations on how to further advance those that are successful and how to improve those that are not.

The Digital Marketing Manager must be an innovative, strategic thinker who isn’t afraid to jump into the mix by making recommendations, offering new ideas and asking questions. Excellent communication and writing skills are critical. You must work well in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to make quick decisions that fit the framework of the overall strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create social media and digital marketing and strategy in support of overall marketing strategy and organization goals
  • Execute on social media and digital marketing strategy, including community management, content creation, content curation, community engagement
  • Plan and execute web, social media, marketing database, email, SEO/SEM, and online advertising campaigns
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Write regular blog posts for our industry blog and write guest blog posts as opportunities arise
  • Work with marketing team members to add a social component to all marketing campaigns and events
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
  • Build relationships (online and off) with community members, industry influencers and industry organizations and advance these relationships through social and digital media
  • Manage and regularly update content on the company website
  • Establish and maintain consistent corporate message and voice throughout all initiatives
  • Report on results of social media and digital marketing efforts, including go forward recommendations based on analysis
  • Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on these insights
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, providing thought leadership and perspective on adoption as appropriate
  • Support corporate marketing initiatives as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3-5 years experience in B2B digital marketing
  • 2+ years experience managing social media marketing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative thinker with a demonstrated ability to use data to inform decisions that drive maximum impact on marketing efforts
  • Strong grasp of social media and website metrics. Experience with Google Analytics and Knowledge of HTML a plus
  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Eager to measure success of marketing efforts
  • Bachelor's degree; emphasis on Marketing, Advertising or Communications preferred
