LabAnswer is looking for an experienced sales manager who has previously led a highly successful sales team preferably in a consulting or professional services organization. The ideal candidate is driven, energetic and all about getting top results from their sales team. The Sales Manager will lead and drive their team members to meet established sales goals and objectives using a structured, end-to-end business development process. He/She will also work as part of our team of senior sales professionals, focusing on winning new work from potential and existing clients. Requirements and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Coaching, mentoring, and training team members
  • Accountability for both individual and team performance measures
  • Monitoring and evaluating sales results, productivity levels and revenue growth
  • Preparing and analyzing revenue forecasting and sales activity reports
  • Building trusting relationships with key senior client stakeholders
  • Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the client's strategic agenda and the issues facing them
  • Leading and/or directing client engagements and business development meetings as a thought leader, and shaping client thinking
  • Promoting LabAnswer, its services and differentiating value-add to clients and in the market
  • Demonstrating excellent knowledge and insight into the sales and marketing strategy, including industry and prospective client analyses and driving new business development accordingly
  • Understanding competitors’ offerings and what it will take to win contracts
  • Preparing and delivering new work proposals to prospective clients, managing the contract negotiation process and ensuring that required commercial documentation is in place with new clients
  • Producing business development and pipeline reports and using this information to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business development
  • Utilizing CRM for knowledge management of the sales process, potential new clients, new business leads and marketing campaigns
  • Optimizing revenue from new and existing clients by identifying opportunities to generate additional value

Sales Manager Requirements

  • A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in a similar professional services role
  • Experience with senior level decision makers for high level purchases
  • Experience using CRM
  • Ability to prioritize, manage your workload, and meet targets and timeframes
  • Strong skills with MS Office applications, especially presentation development & desktop publishing
