OnDeck is seeking a sales leader with a proven track record of driving revenue and meeting renewal rate targets for our renewals team. This sales leader must be passionate about developing teams, coaching, identifying and removing obstacles, in pursuit of exceeding sales targets and developing a sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.


  • Create strategy and oversee daily execution of a team of inside sales renewal team members
  • Achieve or exceed monthly renewal targets and provide senior management with an accurate forecast and risk analysis of all assigned accounts with in your team
  • Provide hands-on coaching to illustrate and prove best practices
  • Serve as point of escalation for critical customer issues; provide summary of the overall ‘health’ of the account and use of our services
  • Provide strong goal-oriented leadership and participate in recruiting, mentoring, discipline and training activities
  • Manage competing priorities in a high volume transaction environment
  • Work with internal resources (Competitive Intelligence, Pricing, Product Management, Customer Success, Account Executives, etc…) to develop comprehensive 'win' strategies for renewals
  • Identify customer requirements, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, uncover roadblocks, and demonstrate strong account management capabilities to drive renewal rates
  • Provide direction and management to team members to ensure employee satisfaction and success
  • Help develop and educate renewal best practices across the team
  • Closely monitor at risk accounts. work with Customer Success, Support, and Services leadership to resolve customer issues and help remove barriers for the team


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing an inside sales team with a complete understanding of customer management
  • Experienced working cross-functionally and with sale and marketing leadership, and channel partners
  • Consultative and solution prospecting/selling knowledge
  • Technology proficiency and ability to train others (CRM, Excel, LinkedIn, Sales Automation Tools)
  • Ability to track core telesales KPIs to drive results
  • Ability to effectively negotiate in both challenging and collaborative sales engagements
  • Ability to excel in a high-energy, monthly-results driven sales culture
  • Team player who will work within the company to continue improving organization processes
  • Experience working with senior level executives
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Considerable interpersonal skills are mandatory, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to oversee and manage salesforce.com renewal forecast, helping the team manage all renewal opportunities appropriately
  • Proven track record of target over-achievement
  • Strong customer management skills
