Smart Lunches provides healthy, tasty lunches to thousands of school children in the Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, DC, Atlanta, and New York regions. We provide a valuable enhanced service to the school, convenience and nutritional security to the parents, and a good lunch to the students. Parents use our online platform to order their child’s lunch from our daily menu, our local catering partners create the customized meal for each child, and our team of Ambassadors hand deliver each meal to our school partners before lunchtime. We are growing rapidly, adding new school partners and new lunchers daily and are adding new regions every year.

  • Take the lead on capturing new school, day care, and summer camp partners for our best-in-class lunch solution
  • Make dozens of calls and emails daily
  • Work with an array of prospects, and convincingly demonstrate Smart Lunches’ best-in-class solution to the school lunch problem
  • Source opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and proactive outreach 
  • quickly assess their current lunch solution, pain points, and needs
  • Show how our solution addresses the school’s needs and move them through the decision-making process
  • Partner with our regional Chefs, VP of Sales, and marketing team to close the sale

Experience and Background

  • Proven inside sales experience with a history of over-achievement 
  • Strong over-the-phone presence and ability to make dozens of calls per day to source new prospects and work with existing opportunities
  • Able to assess partner needs and present solutions
  • Process management skills allowing the creation and management of a large opportunity pipeline
  • CRM savvy (, Microsoft Office proficient
