The Role

Software AG Government Solutions is seeking a Sales Operations Analyst (Salesforce) to start immediately. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. 

We are a software company that addresses mission critical challenges with best-in-class software solutions for enterprise integration, Service-Oriented Architecture, Business Process Management, Fast Big Data, Complex Event Processing, in-memory computing and much more.  Our core products are webMethods, AgileApps, Terracotta (enterprise Ehcache), Apama, Aris and Alfabet.  


  • Drive the end to end life cycle of a quote to an order with adherence to the polices & procedures currently in place.
  • Manage day to day contract process, working closely with Account Executives.
  • Proficiency in : creating Users, Profiles, Roles, Custom Objects, Custom Fields, Page Layouts, Workflow Rules, Validation Rules, Reports, Dashboards and process builder.
  • Maintain accuracy and information within
  • Administer approval process in the enterprise sales transactions.
  • Understanding of Sales processes and systems (sales cycles; account, territory, opportunity, pipeline management)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; self-starter with ability to independently identify action items required in any given situation (high-level critical thinking).
  • Excellent skills in oral and written communication as well as documenting business justifications.
  • Develop an in depth understanding of Software AG Government Solutions products & services, and policies & procedures.
  • Ability to analyze, model and recommend the best course of action for pricing situations and business decisions.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
  • 2-4 years’ relevant experience in an analytic, deal desk, Sales operations and operational role within Sales/Sales Operations, Marketing, Strategy or Finance
  • Proficiency Microsoft office and or similar package.
  • Clear and thoughtful communicator with exceptional critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Has worked at a Software Company, a Software re-seller.
