Collision Technician | Louisville, KY

St. Matthews Imports is looking for a Collision Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone who is responsible, a self-starter, innovative, determined, a problem solver, conscientious, and a team player with high standards. The candidate must take pride in their work. We firmly believe that quality repairs done following the OEM recommendations is the only proper way to repair today's ever changing automobiles.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for regularly performing complete, safe quality repairs that follow OEM and I-Car guidelines. This position will disassemble vehicle to expose all damaged areas and will document the parts and operations needed to complete the repairs to OEM specifications; additionally, you will repair dents, install bumpers, fenders, lamps, doors, and door skins, and repair and/or replace quarter panels.

Background and Experience

  • Able to read work orders
  • Recognize and evaluate related damages
  • Pull, align and repair sheet metal, Structural and non- structural parts
  • Remove and replace Structural parts
  • Have a good working knowledge or the ability to use a MIG welder, resistance welder and Silicone Bronze pulse welder
  • Knowledge of unibody pulling and electronic measuring
  • Plastic repair
  • Immolate Factory seam sealer styles
  • Mechanical knowledge of suspension components and replacement
  • Mechanical knowledge of SRS, ABS and Collision Avoidance Systems
  • Able to pass a drug test and have a clean background check
