Teriyaki Madness, a fast-casual, Asian restaurant concept featuring a Seattle-style Teriyaki menu was founded in 2003 and began franchising the brand in 2005. TMAD is operating and franchising more than 35 teriyaki shops nationwide. Teriyaki Madness is committed to unconditionally satisfying guests by offering delicious, made-to-order Teriyaki dishes prepared with all natural, fresh ingredients that are served quickly, at a reasonable price in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. 

The Role

The General Manager is someone who thrives on challenge and continually looks for opportunities to learn. They are as comfortable taking responsibility as they are delegating it. Managers understand that customer satisfaction always takes priority but, efficient restaurant operations make it possible. They are friendly, positive, and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively lead and maintain the restaurant food quality, food cost, labor, cleanliness standards and day to day operations
  • Responsible for monitoring training and development of new team members on shift
  • Responsible for all staff scheduling and labor management
  • Lead each shift by delegating duties, assigning tasks, and following up with all team members
  • Acts with integrity and honesty while promoting the Teriyaki Madness culture
  • Follow inventory control procedures to reduce product loss
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant
  • Manage time effectively and meet all job responsibilities
  • Maintain a positive work environment for employees and guests
  • Prepare foods when necessary
  • Ensure all food items are prepared according to the Teriyaki Madness standards of quality, consistency, and timeliness
  • Check food quality and temperatures throughout the day to maintain Health and Safety regulations
  • Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures including knife handling and kitchen equipment
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Identify back-ups in the kitchen and work with staff to diagnose and resolve issues

Experience & Background

  • Experience in customer relations
  • Knowledge of how to control costs with in the restaurant
  • Must be proficient in each area of the restaurant to assist when necessary
