Established downtown Memphis Architectural/Interior Design firm has immediate opening for an Architect with experience in Design and Construction Documents for Health Care Clinics, Corporate, Commercial and Educational projects of varied types and sizes. No residential designers need apply.

The ideal candidate is an Architect who possesses strong organization, communication and time management skills and has several years of design production experience, including but not limited to design and construction drawing and specifications. The position requires a cooperative individual who will work well in a team setting to plan, design and document Health Care, Officer and Commercial projects. They must also be self-motivated and take ownership of tasks and responsibilities. Contract Administration is a plus. 


  • Programming and Preparation of Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents including presentation drawings, finish plans, schedules, specifications, notes and details
  • Understanding of local building codes, building technology and accessibility guidelines
  • Organization of project documentation per firm's standard procesdures & practices
  • Proactive approach to problems and alternative solutions
  • Active participation in quality control and maintaining conformance with firm-wide standards for all documentation
  • Team orientated and collaborative approach to the design process
  • Working with the project team to provide consistent support


  • Architectural Bachelor's or Master's Degree and Architectural license preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience
  • Experience coordinatoring engineers and other specialty consultants
  • Critical thinking skills
  • High level of proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft office Suite, and Adobe Suite preferred
  • Knowledge of building codes preferred
  • LEED AP is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and compatibility in working closely with designers, architects and project managers
  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills
