The Role

Our Indianapolis Service Center is in need of a driven, creative, and results oriented Service Manager to take charge. This person would have a passion for success and the ability to think outside of the box when it comes to problem solving and getting the job done right. If you don't have a passion for your voice being heard or you just want to sit back and draw a pay check, then this job may not be for you.

This passionate individual will be highly involved in pushing his/her technicians to succeed. Setting the example by leading from the front and helping in the development of strategic plans and the execution of those plans. Primary responsibilities of this role will be to lead the Service Department to achieve profit and growth objectives while maintaining the Wiers high standards letting this market know why we have been so successful for over 50 years now.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will work alongside the Service Advisor(s), by helping to estimate and direct the workflow of the shop Technicians.
Your duties will include:

  • Create the daily production schedule to achieve optimum shop proficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment inside and outside the building.
  • Communicate the company vision, values, and mission statement with your subordinates.
  • Ensure that all repairs are reviewed with customers and invoiced properly.
  • Conducts SWOT analysis of competition.
  • Develop and execute plans to help the business grow and improve.
  • Coach and mentor individual staff members to improve.
  • Identifies and documents processes to improve proficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Our role requires candidates able and willing to interact positively with various personality types.

Qualifications

  • Track record of exceptional success and increasing responsibility. 
  • He/She is passionate about customer satisfaction and business growth. 
  • Burning desire to help the business grow and reach its full potential. 
  • Their positive attitude and energy will be contagious!
  • Extensive background in Truck Service/repair work. 
  • With a minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial vehicle repair as a technician, service advisor or service manager. 
  • A minimum of 2 years of prior Service Manager Experience. Great communication, computer and customer service skills is preferred!
  • The company is looking for an individual with high intellectual horsepower (smart)! 
  • Action orientated, possesses high integrity, and is naturally curious.
